holidays @ leen organics

An Tí Glas is a fully restored 200 year old cottage on an organic smallholding in rural County Clare. It is a unique place to relax and get away from the stress and strain of modern living. With peace and quiet, wholesome food, country walks and great comfort this is the place you are looking for.
Used as an exploring base the cottage is well situated for all the attractions Co Clare has to offer:

• The Burren • Cliffs of Moher • Loop Head • Slieve Aughty mountains • Ailwee and Doolin caves • Whale & Dolphin Watching • Surfing in Lahinch • Bunratty Castle and Folk Park

…all within an hour’s drive of the house. As associate members of the Burren Ecotourism Network we have good contacts for all activities and services you may want in the Burren.

Clare’s wild atlantic eco-experience with An Tí Glas

County Clare’s wild Atlantic coast is very accessible from our eco cottage An Tí Glas so we decided to team up with some of our favourite ecotourism providers to offer you a multi-activity experience. From as little as €300 pp sharing, we are offering 4 half-day activities with Dolphinwatch, North Clare Sea Kayaking, Aloha Surf School and Mullaghmore Experience Walking Centre along with your 1 weeks’ self-catering accommodation.

Included in this package is a free pass to visit the Cliffs of Moher. Finally, this itinerary also offers the option of two self-guided walks on beautiful parts of the west coast making 6 half-day activities in total.

burren food trail and weekly food series

We are proud members of the newly launched Burren Food Trail and will be holding our event for the Weekly Food Series on Monday the 1st of July with a tour of the farm and a chance to have a look at the cottage. See the following links for the Food Trail Leaflet PDF (with map) and Burren Weekly Food Series A3 Poster for further details.

environmental ethos

Our strong environmental ethos is reflected in all aspects of our business. We are pleased to say that we have been awarded  a Gold Award from Green Hospitality Awards, an award which looks in depth at all the environmental credentials of the cottage and the way it is run.

the family

We are a family of five including 3 teenage children. Originally we lived in the house that is An Tí Glas. In 2007 we moved into a new house we built on another part of the farm. We are keen cyclists, walkers, gardeners and all the children are good hurlers (gaelic games). We have explored the local and wider hinterland over the years and this makes us well qualified to help you with itineraries for your visit. Days out, where to eat, attractions to visit and the good beaches to go to. We will endeavour to make your stay as memorable as possible.
